To perform at their best, dancers need a well-fuelled diet, this includes eating the right balance of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, micronutrients, and fluids. Ideally, dancers should have two serves of fresh fruit and at least five servings of vegetables daily, plus whole grains, dairy products, and lean red meat. Because not all vitamins or minerals occur in all foods, it is recommended that you eat a wide variety of foods.
